MEET AMBI SHANTAY

Author • Speaker • Visionary Coach • Philanthropist

Ambi Shantay is a wife, a mother, an author, and a visionary coach whose mission is to touch and heal the hearts of women who are facing the difficulties that oftentimes accompany motherhood.

The Gallatin, TN native obtained her BA in Corporate and Organizational Communication in 2005 from Western Kentucky University and her MBA with a Human Resources emphasis from the University of Phoenix in 2008

In 2011, Smith accepted her calling as a minister and a year later established the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, “Sisters in the Name of Christ, Inc.,” which caters to disadvantaged women in the Middle Tennessee area and serves as a women’s ministry.

As a spiritual and emotional release, Ambi wrote “Healing Flows,” as an ode to the heartache that goes with having infertility issues and a high risk pregnancy. Ambi was inspired to share the obstacles she faced on her journey

to motherhood through this therapeutic and deeply personal memoir. Through the heartfelt words she penned as part of her own healing, she describes the near death delivery that symbolically began a new life and chapter for her. Finally, Ambi speaks about the raw emotions of battling and overcoming post-partum depression. This book looks these issues in the face and speaks to women everywhere letting them know they are not alone and do not have to go through these battles in silence.

Her hope is that her words restore the hearts of the broken-hearted, inspire and give hope to women facing similar difficulties in pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood.

Ambi resides in Murfreesboro, TN, with her husband Jurry and their 3 year old daughter, Jahzyah. She and her husband loves to mentor young adults and spend their time ministering and leading the college ministry at their church, Believers Faith Fellowship in Christiana, TN.
